Adding users

To add a user to one of the mailinglists, send an empty message to

• mailinglist-subscribe-username=address@cs.rit.edu

notice how the user@address is replaced with

• user=address

so as an example, adding bob@rit.edu to the mailing list casci-news:

• Mail casci-news-subscribe-bob=rit.edu@cs.rit.edu

you will then get an email in gregor@cs.rit.edu asking you as a moderator to confirm this by sending a blank message back to Reply-To (if you choose to ignore this, then the user will not be added to the mailing list. Convenient if you don't want to let someone in!)

once that confirmation happens, they are on the list, and can subscribe! now bob@rit.edu can send mail to casci-news@cs.rit.edu
